I work at the Tax Policy Division at the Fiscal Affairs Department of the International Monetary Fund. Before I joined the IMF, I was assistant professor at the Goethe University Frankfurt. My research addresses issues of international taxation and fiscal policy. I worked on tax policy issues and providing technical assistance in several countries including in Asia, Africa, and Europe.

I obtained a Ph.D. in economics in November 2010 from the Goethe University Frankfurt. Before joining the Ph.D. program in Frankfurt, I graduated from the Advanced Studies Programme in international economic policy of the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.

My research visits include the economics department at the University of California, Berkeley, the Centre for Business Taxation at the University of Oxford, the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), and the research centre of the Deutsche Bundesbank.
